Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time depending on the program phase.

Nice To Haves

Currently hold a DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Experience with hardware & software design life cycle experience.
Experience navigating competing priorities, delivering the highest level of engagement and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations.
Strong Design Integration skills.
Understanding of Aerospace engineering design and analysis review/release process.
Identification of risks early on and ability to manage/mitigate by leveraging Sr. Leadership Support.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.
Technical leadership for several proposal and business development efforts establishing technical, schedule, and cost baselines
Help interface between development teams and site Subject Matter Experts to bring best products to bear
Translate complex configuration details, schedules, trade studies, interfaces and requirement considerations to influence internal leadership, program teams, program managers, and customers
Customer-facing role representing Collins as a technical subject matter expert to guide contract performance and shape future business
Serve as the central hub connecting all stakeholders, facilitating communication between design teams, and customers to ensure alignment of project goals.
Ensure team members tasks are aligned with individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient project completion.
Responsible for managing the technical performance of a program team which may include multiple small programs (5-10) or a larger program (20-40).
Oversee system deployment, validation, and verification against customer requirements
Manage the project including tracking & reporting on budget and schedule performance through Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) techniques.
