We are seeking a Senior Principal Lab Service Engineer, for the Digital Operations Eastern region unclassified labs team, collaborating with a multi-functional team to support fast-paced, critical efforts with unclassified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various unclassified programs, IRADs and efforts. Engineering teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do: As a member of the Digital Technology Connected Factory Lab Services team you can expect to have wide exposure to electronic test equipment, industrial cybersecurity, cyber compliance, and engineering automation. Below is a summary of what you can expect your duties to be:

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Experience with at least one the following technologies: Active Directory, WSUS, SCCM, SQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, SSH/SCP.
  • Experience with administration within Windows and/or Linux OS environments.
  • Experience implementing networking concepts (e.g. network addressing, IP, DNS, TCP, switches, firewalls, MAC addresses, network protocols, etc.).
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience in mentoring others and / or leadership experience.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification
  • Direct working experience with ITAR/EAR, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
  • Experience with virtual host solutions (e.g. VMware).
  • Experience with cloud solution providers (e.g. AWS).
  • Experience with 3D-printer configuration and support
  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with scripting (e.g. PowerShell, bash, Python, …)
  • Experience with backup and recovery enterprise suites
  • Experience with analysis, monitoring, and visualization of data from various sources

Responsibilities

  • Unclassified shared Engineering labs asset integration.
  • Logical and physical network solution design.
  • Research and solution development for integration of networked Engineering lab assets with Enterprise Services and Solutions.
  • Deployment and tactical instance-specific Engineering lab asset integration and support network and system analysis to identify integration challenges and provide solutions.
  • Maintenance of designs to support basic cyber hygiene of unclassified engineering lab assets.
  • Solution enablement to remediate IT and OT vulnerabilities.
  • Coding & scripting to support administrative tasks (not a problem if you don’t have this experience).
  • Assist with enhancing our cyber compliance documentation and processes.
  • Coordinating technical and process document reviews.
  • Participating and leading technical meetings with team members and other program and / or department personnel, representing the organization in functional area matters.
  • Providing IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Learn daily and apply critical thinking/problem-solving skills to resolve time-sensitive issues.
  • Travel may be required, on an infrequent basis, to US Domestic Raytheon locations as business needs dictate.
