As a Senior Principal FPGA Design Engineer, you will: Work with cross-functional teams in developing the latest capabilities to enhance our Integrated Communication Solutions product line Enhance your FPGA technical proficiencies through challenging projects and nurture your career development Provide technical leadership to a team of FPGA engineers; plan, execute, and manage FPGA development on a project Mentor junior FPGA engineers and provide guidance through the early parts of their career Provide estimates and work breakdowns of proposed future efforts, and offer feedback to management on improvements to design process, implementation, and algorithm development In this exciting role, you will enjoy opportunities to take on diverse and challenging work assignments, flexible scheduling with every other Friday off, an inviting and supportive culture, competitive compensation, and an excellent benefits package that includes tuition reimbursement for advanced degrees. Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Eligible for Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, with 8+ years of experience, or Master's Degree and 6 years of experience
- VHDL proficiency for design entry
- Test bench and simulation expertise with Mentor Graphics QuestaSim
- Experience with standard vendor toolsets (Intel Quartus, Xilinx Vivado) in Windows and/or Linux environments
- Lab verification and debugging
- Configuration management tools (Git)
- Architectural experience
- Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to mentor and lead a team of engineers
Nice To Haves
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance
- Digital Signal Processing implementation experience and/or algorithm development
- Experience in communications protocols, waveforms, and products
- MATLAB/Simulink toolsets and/or verification using test vectors generated from reference models
- Working knowledge of Verilog
- Experience with latest device technologies (SOC, high speed interfaces, etc.)
