Excalibur’s Guidance Electronics Assembly (GEA) 2.0 program is seeking a Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEI&T) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead. The role covers a broad range of engineering disciplines including Integration and Verification (I&V), Systems Engineering, Hardware in the Loop (HWIL), Cyber Security, Safety, and Reliability. The program has completed its initial design, Proof of Design (POD), and is starting its integration and testing efforts of it. Accordingly, the need for I&V experience will be central to the role in guiding teams and mentoring their members in their daily activities. Under the current contract, POD will be followed by a Proof Of Manufacturing (POM) phase before a separate qualification contract is awarded. GEA 2.0 utilizes Earned Value (EV) to monitor progress and measure performance. The SEI&T IPT lead will complete CAM responsibilities for the IPT to report its EV. This is an onsite position based in Tucson, AZ. The selected candidate will be assigned to the Land and Air Defense Systems strategic business unit.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience
  • Program Manager Certification level six (6) or ability to obtain within the first year in the role.
  • Prior leadership of I&V, Systems, or equivalent technical teams developing requirements and their methods for verification.
  • Experience in conducting technical and programmatic reviews, such as Critical Design, Systems Requirements, and Estimate At Completion reviews.
  • Experience in performing Risk & Opportunity management.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines to achieve program milestones
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and allocate team tasks
  • Strong communications skills for working with program leadership and internal/external customers
  • Capable of conducting trade studies and analyses, and guiding their influence in program decisions
  • Knowledge of projectile programs, and development and test of electrical subsystems
  • Experience planning Design Verification Test (DVT), Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT), Live Battery Test (LBT), and van/mobile tests
  • Experience with requirements development, their ongoing management, and DOORS
  • Experience in architecture development and/or maintenance for application to ConOps, System, and System of System (SoS) analyses
  • Experience managing and/or maintaining specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICD), and Test Requirement Documents (TRD)
  • Working knowledge of configuration management tools and documentation control processes

  • You will communicate to program and functional leadership to provide status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed
  • You will interact with Program Leadership and Technical SMEs to define the execution path and form consensus on technical decisions.
  • You will provide guidance and mentoring to team members
