About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer for one of our clients in Västerås. In this guru-level role, you will independently lead complex electrical engineering tasks with national-level unique competence. You will plan, design, and coordinate major engineering activities for high-voltage substations, provide expert technical guidance, and act as a consultant to management and customers on advanced studies and problem resolution.

Requirements

• Well-documented 10+ years of experience in relevant electrical engineering field (including leadership)
• Unique national-level competence relevant to the assignment
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Previous experience working with 400kV SvK substations
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English (mandatory)
• Valid SSG-Entré certificate
• Ability to work minimum 3 days per week on-site in Västerås + travel to sites

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of hydrogen plant production (Vattenfall/Vattenkraft)
• Advanced academic qualifications (e.g., PhD in a relevant field)

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electrical engineering projects and processes
• Prepare designs, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and project controls
• Monitor progress, resolve operational issues, and minimize delays
• Coordinate major engineering tasks with substantial impact
• Provide technical guidance and coach junior professionals
• Work with 400kV SvK substations and related high-voltage systems
