Technical Responsibilities – Senior / Principal Due Diligence Growth Lead Responsibilities focus on environmental due diligence new sales, client growth and management, project execution, and technical review and direction for team members. Typical duties include the following: Drive growth of due diligence services through new sales from private equity and strategic clients Develop and lead strategic action plans to diversify and grow due diligence services beyond existing clients and market sectors Understand capabilities across the broader business services group, including EH&S compliance services, to support cross-selling opportunities Function as a key client contact for incoming due diligence work Manage private equity clients throughout project lifecycle, including project origination, communication of diligence results and deliverables, budget and invoice management, and follow-up communication with clients as needed Execute and provide project management of environmental due diligence projects—including Phase I site assessments, desktop reviews, limited compliance reviews, and related due diligence deliverables Perform technical review of reports and findings prior to client delivery, ensuring technical quality Provide feedback to and facilitate technical development of team members Ensure responsiveness and focus on client service within the diligence team Travel for site visits, conferences, and client outreach (typically one to two 2-day trips per month, with potential for additional travel during major due diligence efforts) Skills to Bring to the Role Strategic thinker Familiarity with client’s perspective and need for responsiveness and proactive support Direct communication style Focus on motivating people to follow plans and processes that will benefit them and the team Passionate about efficiency, shared lessons, and quality for clients Integration Months 1–3 · Integration into EHS Support teams, processes, and systems · Review and comment on strategic growth plans for business services group offerings · Develop client outreach plan with support from operations, service area leads, and marketing team · Project direction and technical review of due diligence deliverables Months 4–12 · Support implementation of strategic growth plans · Execute client outreach plan with support from operations, service area leads, and marketing team · Continued project direction and technical review of due diligence deliverables · Continued exposure to other service areas and project types as opportunities allow Year 1 Outcomes · Lead the development of a strategic growth plan / client capture plan to support annual service line planning · Lead strategic due diligence projects when they arise, with the intent to grow portfolio of strategic due diligence work · Established as an EHS Support practice leader in due diligence space through client outreach, conference participation, marketing/branding initiatives, and project execution and leadership · Provide input on training needs and process improvements for due diligence team members to deliver high-quality work products and support upskilling and career advancement · Provide input on hiring needs and support talent acquisition efforts
