The Senior Pricing & Compliance Consultant plays a key role in driving transformational initiatives across Global Parts Pricing, with a strong focus on compliance related to Parts Sales Variance processes. This role leads audits, corrective action plans, and the continuous evolution of policies and guidelines, while actively shifting the organization toward more proactive and intentional compliance practices. As a recognized subject matter expert, the incumbent is accountable for identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex business needs and issues. In addition to deep technical expertise, this role requires strong leadership capabilities, including leading projects and influencing cross functional teams. The position demands excellent negotiation skills, the ability to build consensus, and a talent for driving alignment across diverse stakeholders. Decisions made in this role may have broad impact across project teams, business units, suppliers, and internal customers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in pricing compliance or Aftermarket Sales Variance processes, with the ability to interpret, apply, and evolve policies and guidelines in complex environments
  • Proven capability to lead audits and corrective action plans, ensuring timely closure, sustained compliance, and measurable improvement
  • Strong ability to drive transformation and change, shifting organizations from reactive compliance to proactive, risk‑based practices
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues, evaluate data, and develop practical, sustainable solutions
  • Highly effective stakeholder influence skills, including negotiation, consensus‑building, and alignment across cross‑functional teams and leadership levels
  • Experience leading or contributing to large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives with enterprise‑wide impact
  • Metrics‑driven mindset with the ability to leverage data and dashboards to identify risk, uncover opportunities, and inform decision‑making
  • Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and governance (Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience is a plus)
  • Customer‑focused approach with a consistent track record of delivering results and meeting commitments
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar products, product applications, merchandising programs, or pricing structures, enabling faster impact and credibility as a trusted advisor

Responsibilities

  • Lead transformational compliance initiatives related to Parts Sales Variance processes
  • Own and coordinate audits, corrective action plans, and follow up activities
  • Drive the regular review, refresh, and governance of pricing and compliance policies and guidelines
  • Champion the transition from reactive to proactive compliance practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for pricing and compliance topics
  • Lead or contribute to cross functional projects with significant business impact
  • Influence stakeholders through strong communication, negotiation, and consensus building skills
  • Use metrics and data to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement areas
