  • Strong understanding of electrical systems: medium/high-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS, MCCs, lighting systems, emergency/standby power, low-voltage systems (BAS, fire alarm, security, AV), grounding/earthing, and arc-flash considerations.
  • Proven experience managing long-lead electrical procurement and specialty trade scope definition; familiarity with utility coordination and service upgrade processes.
  • Experience with electrical one-line diagrams, load calculations, fault current/coordination studies, and commissioning/acceptance testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present electrical strategies to owners and executive leadership.

  • Experience with BIM coordination tools (Revit, Navisworks) and electrical modeling/estimating software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in electrical preconstruction planning for multiple large projects through bid/award and into early mobilization.
  • Develop initial and phased master schedules (critical path, milestone, look-ahead) integrating design milestones, procurement lead times, long-lead items, site logistics, and commissioning.
  • Produce and validate conceptual and detailed cost plans in coordination with estimators; identify cost drivers and opportunities for value engineering.
  • Assess constructability and develop mitigation plans for site constraints, phasing, MEP coordination and specialized systems typical to sports, healthcare, aviation, and education.
  • Create procurement strategies for long-lead and electrical specialty packages; coordinate prequalification and scope definition for specialty trades.
