About The Position

As a Power Systems Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to apply advanced power systems engineering expertise while working directly with customers on impactful, real‑world projects. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, supporting customers throughout the full project lifecycle—from system studies and design to commissioning, optimization, and training—while helping improve the safety, reliability, and performance of critical electrical infrastructure. In this role, you will: Provide applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas of power systems studies, design, installation, startup, maintenance, repair and training. Take ownership of assigned projects, managing scope, schedule, and cost to deliver high‑quality results within budget. Interpret specs and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for customers Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency Mentor and lead engineers on medium sized projects, sharing knowledge and helping build technical capability across the team. Conduct Short-Circuit, LV/MV Coordination, and Arc Flash studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • All candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work locations listed.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role.
  • Power Quality Measurements, Harmonic Analysis, Basic Distribution System Design
  • Strong theoretical understanding of power system analysis for low- and medium-voltage applications.
  • Experience with power system analysis including short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash hazard analysis.
  • Experience with managing a diverse range of small- and medium-sized projects unassisted, within targeted deadlines and budget.
  • Strong ability to cross-collaborate with adjacent functions (Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, etc) and to coordinate with external customers and contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead customer-facing discussions and technical collaborations.
