Senior Power BI Developer - Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid)
About The Position
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power BI Developer to lead the development of data visualization solutions and help establish a Power BI competency within a data-focused office. This role will serve as a key resource for designing, developing, and implementing impactful reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data-driven solutions. This position requires independent work, decision-making, and initiative, with a primary focus on Power BI development and a secondary focus on Microsoft Power Platform.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Power BI development
- Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Proven ability to lead and deliver end-to-end BI projects
- Experience providing technical support and guidance to users
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all organizational levels
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience working with education data or large-scale data systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support Power BI solutions
- Deliver high-quality dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and performance
- Lead validation, testing, and implementation activities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes and reporting needs
- Translate business requirements into technical analytics solutions
- Provide guidance on best practices, standards, and efficient Power BI usage
- Act as a technical advisor for ongoing and upcoming BI initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BI solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve BI development processes and methodologies
- Provide training and support to internal teams
