Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems, AC/DC drives, PLC and SLC controllers, and motor control circuits.
  • Experience troubleshooting high voltage safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams, and electrical codes; skilled with measuring devices.
  • Competent in running electrical tests, interpreting results, and repairing defects.
  • Intermediate math and basic computer skills.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Journeyman certification or equivalent experience.
  • Adaptable and flexible as priorities and schedules change.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality while multitasking.
  • Clear communicator across all levels and with external partners.
  • Understands and applies company policies and procedures.
  • Continuously learns new methods, skills, and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical faults; complete essential mechanical repairs.
  • Perform advanced PM tasks; enter accurate, timely data in the maintenance system.
  • Modify ladder logic and HMI programs to restore functions and enhance performance.
  • Verify electrical systems and terminations meet safety and efficiency standards.
  • Conduct basic failure root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Test for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance; validate motor control circuits.
  • Support new equipment checkout and sustain older systems; repair large motors and industrial fans.
  • Maintain logs, record labor and materials, and create work orders with PM feedback.
  • Calibrate and check instruments; respond quickly to urgent situations.
  • Wire machines and panels per prints; weld or operate a Miller; assemble gas circuits from prints.
  • Use common shop tools safely, including drills, saws, sanders, and buffers.
