Senior Plant Manager Job Function: General Management Oversees and directs operations and maintenance functions of PGE's generation plants. Key Job Information: Senior Manager, Plant 6628 Grade 10 Career Level: M3 Senior Manager Provides leadership to managers and professional associates Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities Decision-making is guided by department/district objectives

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 12 or more years in progressively responsible plant operations, maintenance, engineering and related support activities, including five years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of policies, procedures and practices required for operating and maintaining an electric generating plant
  • Advanced knowledge of plant systems, operation and maintenance concepts
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of operations-specific metrics to monitor and manage plant performance
  • Advanced knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards for plant operations and environmental monitoring
  • Advanced knowledge of budgeting and operations planning
  • Advanced knowledge of fundamental engineering/economic principles and concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of plant mechanical, electrical and control systems and equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of the electric utility industry and technology
  • Advanced knowledge of labor relations, including retained management rights and applicable union contracts and local work rules
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and company financial reports
  • Intermediate knowledge of contract administration and managing relationships with construction contractors
  • Intermediate skills in computer systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Working ability to read and interpret construction and design drawings and documents
