About The Position

Senior Pharmacy Technician at Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR. Part-Time/Day Shift The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). Providence Seaside Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital with full accreditation by the Joint Commission that offers primary and specialty care, respiratory outpatient services, general surgery, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pathology and emergency medicine 24 hrs./7 days-a-week.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire, Or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire
  • Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification
  • Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
  • Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances)
  • Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state
