About The Position

Hybrid schedule after training. 3 days in office/2 days remote. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Payroll Processing & Accuracy - Process bi-weekly payroll for hospital staff, ensuring accuracy in wages, deductions, paid time off (PTO), and Extended Illness Bank (EIB) adjustments. Validate and input payroll corrections post-payroll; ensure integrity of imported payroll data files. Audit Payroll, Time & Attendance records for compliance with hospital policies; collaborate with department timekeepers to resolve discrepancies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. Tax Compliance & Reporting - Review and assist with payroll tax forms across foreign international, federal, state, county, and local levels, ensuring compliance with all regulatory deadlines. Ensure adherence to payroll tax regulations, including those affecting foreign national employees. Prepare and submit IRS Forms for employees claiming tax treaty exemptions. Provide guidance to foreign national employees regarding tax status, treaty eligibility, and required documentation as appropriate. Multi-Jurisdictional Payroll Management - Manage multi-state payroll compliance, including jurisdictional registration and tax setup for new locations. Reconcile payroll liability accounts monthly and support financial close processes in coordination with Finance and Accounting teams. Systems & Data Integrity - Support internal and external support systems system testing, upgrades, and integrations. Generate and transmit electronic files for tax-sheltered annuities and retirement contributions. Collaboration & Policy Development - Collaborate with Payroll, HR, IS, and Accounting teams to develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and employee-facing communication materials. Assist with all required payroll tax filings and tax deadlines (includes bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) including data reconciliation and form preparation. Troubleshoot for less experienced team members. Mentor/Educate others on specialty knowledge. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with payroll systems such as Workday, Kronos/UKG, and ADP.
  • Understanding of general ledger accounting, payroll tax regulations, and account reconciliation.
  • Experience with foreign national taxation and IRS compliance (Forms 8233, 1042).
  • Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
