Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in payroll, accounting, analytical or other related field
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing Bi-weekly, Semi-monthly and Monthly payrolls for locations across the U.S. using the payroll system SAP/SuccessFactors. Using attention to detail, analytical thinking and a proactive nature, they ensure all processes are flowing as normal and in line with payroll requirements.
  • FSS payroll inbox, processing ticket requests, including tax withholding updates, direct deposit changes, pay card enrollment, record additional pay items, reimbursements and deductions, garnishment/tax levy, mass uploads, etc.. Peer audits. Prepare answers to Writs of Garnishments. Processing Off Cycle payments. Incoming mail processing.
  • Provide assistance to branch personnel regarding application of pay practices, processing of payrolls and the generation of reports and queries, including monthly and per pay period payroll reports to sites.
  • Resolve payroll related employee questions and problems via phone, email and Teams chat.
  • Counts, balances and distributes payroll checks; assist with data entry, file maintenance, and distribution of payroll information and account analysis in payroll and payroll tax related areas.
  • Assist with payroll account reconciliation research.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
