We are seeking an experienced Sr. Payroll Analyst to join our team in a fast-paced union construction environment. This role is responsible for preparing high-volume weekly payroll files while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, prevailing wage laws, and federal/state payroll regulations. If you have strong ERP experience with JD Edwards (JDE) and/or Oracle Fusion, and thrive in a deadline-driven setting, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in union construction.
  • Experience preparing files for processing weekly, high-volume payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and prevailing wage laws.
  • Hands-on experience with JD Edwards (JDE) and/or Oracle Fusion.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to meet strict weekly deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Review and audit timesheets for compliance and union accuracy including proper job cost coding and approvals
  • Prepare accurate and timely weekly confidential and union payroll files for submission to a shared service center for payroll processing
  • Calculate multi-rate union wages, overtime, double-time, travel pay, and shift differentials.
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and multi-state payroll requirements.
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, and Project Managers to resolve payroll and labor cost discrepancies.
  • Partner with HR on new hires, terminations, rate changes, and benefits administration
  • Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness.
  • Maintain and reconcile field checking accounts
  • Processing off-cycle manual payroll checks and emergency vendor checks using QuickBooks
  • Assist with team supervision and address payroll related issues in Payroll Manager’s absence
