About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Operations Analyst to join our dynamic Payroll team. This role focuses on assisting with day-to-day operations, payroll processing, analysis, compliance, and reporting. You will collaborate directly with employees and various cross-functional teams to resolve payroll record issues, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience.
  • Strong payroll tax knowledge with multistate experience.
  • Experience with Oracle and Oracle Time & Labor (OTL).
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years in payroll experience.
  • Solid understanding of laws, codes, multi-state taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter capable of multitasking and working under pressure.
  • Ability to assess the impact of tax regulation changes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Experience with in-house payroll processing and time and labor reporting within enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and timely input payroll data provided by various business units.
  • Interpret garnishments, child support orders, state/federal tax levies, and enter them in Oracle Payroll as per legal documents.
  • Ensure correct tax withholding for employees working in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Monitor the payroll/time and labor operations mailbox, respond to queries, and provide end-of-day summaries to management.
  • Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each payroll to ensure accurate filings by the tax service provider.
  • Monitor processes and procedures to ensure adequate controls and compliance with company policies.
  • Resolve all out-of-balance conditions between the payroll provider, third-party vendors, bank wires, and the general ledger.
  • Gather and report requested data to internal and external stakeholders and manage legislative changes to maintain compliance.
  • Work with HR to process payroll for employees on a leave of absence.
  • Collect timecard data and report missing timecards.
  • Assist with testing related to payroll activities for patches and projects.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and administration of new business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ADP Wage, Tax, and Garnishment system integration.
  • Provide back-up support for other team members as needed.
