About The Position

Position Summary: Under the close supervision of the Enforcement Lead, incumbent assists staff, patients, and visitors in maintaining compliance with parking rules and regulations. Incumbent will patrol assigned areas on foot and by motor vehicle and issue parking violation citations, warnings, and courtesy notices for illegal parking, and will boot or tow vehicles as necessary. Monitor parking areas for safety/security related situations reporting any activity to the UC Health Public Safety Department as needed or UC Health Police.

Requirements

  • Required to successfully complete an FBI fingerprinting process and maintain the successful completion of an FBI fingerprinting process throughout employment.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Must be available to work alternate work schedules and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must be able to perform sustained foot patrol
  • Minimum six months related experience, preferably in customer service/hospitality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Employment is contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation
  • Employment contingent upon completion of satisfactory background investigation. Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
  • Current State of California Driver's License
  • Continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the California Vehicle code
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software
  • Knowledge of applicable procedures and regulations concerning parking enforcement and traffic control
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
