Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work an in-office work schedule (2-3 days per week). We're also open to remote candidates. How You’ll Make an ImpactThe Senior Paralegal supports Valvoline Global’s legal, contractual, and compliance activities in North America (i.e., United States and Canada) and reports to the Senior Counsel, North America. This role supports the efficient operations of the North America legal team. (North America is VGO’s largest, busiest, and most important business unit.) Working under general supervision, the Senior Paralegal independently handles complex assignments with occasional heavy workloads and tight deadlines. The role is expected to perform a wide variety of assignments in multiple legal areas with speed and accuracy, with a particular emphasis on commercial contracts, both product supply and procurement. The Senior Paralegal has in-depth knowledge, works independently, receives minimal guidance, and may lead projects or steps within a larger project, while having accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. The Senior Paralegal may be required to research and resolve complex problems and/or problems where precedent may not exist, and is expected to be comfortable working directly with outside counsel. The role is expected to have substantial familiarity with contract lifecycle management and associated workflows. Additionally, the Senior Paralegal may be asked to help train and assist less experienced staff from time to time.
