About The Position

Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. We offer flexibility in start and end times while maintaining core business hours for shared availability across the team. Our Corporate Controller Office is looking for a Senior Oracle Business Analyst. They provides functional/technical expertise to implement financial system (Oracle EBS) solutions. Streamlines operations through involvement in projects. Develops end to end BI reporting solutions. Provide system support to end users. Ensure system enhancements/upgrades/patches are delivered without negatively impacting existing functionality.

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent 
  • Demonstrated years of experience as a financial systems business analyst with Oracle ERP and BI reporting experience
  • Experience with Oracle EBS Release 12

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle Financials, mainly Oracle Project Costing and Fixed Asset modules would be an asset.
  • Background in Financial Reporting and OneStream administration would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Leads and supports changes to Oracle ERP and related systems which interface to Oracle
  • Coordinates and facilitates resolution of Finance system production issues; categorizes and identifies issues, design amendments, and incidents or investigation; investigates issues to identify root causes; defines the scope and impacts of root causes
  • Ensure operational issues with Oracle EBS system are identified and corrected in a timely manner to ensure limited disruption to the processing of transactions in Oracle EBS
  • Identifies and facilitates development of documentation for new and modified business policies and procedures to ensure effective implementation of technology solutions
  • Proposes improvements to automate business functions and make effective use of technology to improve the customer-service experience
  • Develops and maintains BI dashboards including preparation of data
  • Works closely with all stakeholders (e.g. cross functional teams, external partners, and vendors) to establishes, maintains, and strengthens relationships with external vendors and clients, build cross-functional relationships and liaise with internal departments regarding operational issues or improvements
  • Provides subject matter expertise to non-IT business leaders, partners and project team members to assist with data interpretation and provide commentary for decision-making
  • Identifies opportunities for system changes to improve operational accuracy and efficiency; develops business cases, recommendations, and change notices
  • Prepares training plans and related materials, and coordinates training of Finance stakeholders affected by the introduction of services and applications
