About The Position

Our Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking a Part Time Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to work onsite in Amarillo, TX at a hyperscale data center site. This will be a 1 to 2-year part time project. Step into a rewarding engineering role where your attention to detail and communication skills make a real impact. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• Minimum of 6 years of critical facilities, or power design experience
• Critical Facilities HVAC and plumbing system experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Ability to be a lead responsible engineer for a project involving multi-discipline work
• Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs at client sites
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to com pany and client policies.

Nice To Haves

• Data Center or mission critical construction and inspection experience preferred
• Professional Engineer preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare error-free engineering documents adhering to industry codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes, safety standards, and nuclear design techniques
• Produce high-quality engineering deliverables aligned with client expectations and project scopes.
• Conduct peer and technical reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Build strong client relationships through professional communication and quality deliverables.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure design compatibility and meet all project requirements
• Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Serve as Responsible Engineer (RE) or Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE) to lead project success
• Review of relevant reports for third party testing and inspection agency.
• Periodic review of mechanical and plumbing systems
