About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Supplier Program Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Seal Beach, California. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Shift: This position is for 1st shift.

Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
  • More than 5 years of experience leading supplier contract negotiations
  • More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • More than 5 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • More than 5 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements
  • More than 5 years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
  • Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities
  • Leads stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases.
  • Conducts and guides supplier assessments
  • Develops current and projected work statement
  • Leads and establishes the basis for recovery, corrective and preventative action plans
  • Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Works as a supply chain liaison between suppliers and the program office
  • Provides technical and business guidance to critical suppliers and programs
  • Leads strategic supply chain activities to manage work with suppliers and programs
  • Manages all aspects of supplier and stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases
  • Leads supplier assessments and the development of recovery plans, corrective and preventative actions
  • Leads the development of company or business unit procurement strategies
  • Provides oversight, guidance and verification of work movement projects
