About The Position

The Senior Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Bank’s operational functions, with a strong focus on loan and deposit operations, IRA administration, ACH processing, and data analysis. This role serves as a key resource in driving efficiency, ensuring compliance, and leading or supporting operational projects. The ideal candidate brings deep banking knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5+ years of banking operations experience.
Strong knowledge of loan operations, deposit accounts, IRA administration, and ACH processing.
Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel or similar platforms).
Strong understanding of banking regulations and operational risk controls.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive, self-motivated, and results driven.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Oversee and support daily operational functions related to loans, deposits, and IRA accounts.
Manage and monitor ACH processing, including originations, exceptions, returns, and compliance requirements.
Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
Lead and participate in cross-functional projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
Develop, document, and maintain operational procedures and workflows.
Ensure compliance with all applicable banking regulations, policies, and internal controls.
Act as a subject matter expert for operational systems and processes.
Assist in system implementations, upgrades, and conversions.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
Provide training and guidance to operations staff as needed.
Support audits and examinations by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
