This role will focus on: As a member of site senior leadership team, the Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operational functions within the organization. You will play a key role in optimizing processes, ensuring efficiency, and managing resources to meet the company's objectives and customer needs. The Senior Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization's operational functions run smoothly and efficiently. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Production manager or as an Operations manager or similar.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies and operational procedures.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems. (Familiarity with order management, MRP, Capacity planning, inventory management)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial principles.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control processes

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Supervision: Manage and lead value stream leaders and warehouse operations, providing guidance, direction, and support. Foster a culture of teamwork, high performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Analyses existing operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Resource Management: Plan and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational requirements and goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that operational activities met established quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements, focusing on the quality of products or services.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Uphold health and safety standards within the workplace, implementing and enforcing protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Budget Management: Contribute to the development of operational budgets, manage expenses, and ensure operational activities align with financial objectives.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory levels and implement strategies to maintain adequate stock while minimizing waste or excess inventory.
  • Logistics and Distribution: Supervise logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers or internal departments.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, analyzing key performance indicators and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Customer Relations: Collaborate with customer service and other relevant departments to ensure that operational activities meet customer needs and enhance satisfaction.
