About The Position

As we scale across four countries, we are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to work closely with our COO across the full scope of operational leadership. This role spans strategic planning and organizational development on one end, and the hands-on execution, coordination, and follow-through that keeps a complex organization running on the other. We are looking for someone who brings the same ownership and attention to both.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in operations or a closely related role
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a wide range of responsibilities, from strategic planning to hands-on execution
  • Strong organizational instincts with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional work
  • Experience working across multiple departments or functions in a matrixed or multi-team environment
  • Clear, direct communicator with the ability to work across different levels of seniority
  • High attention to detail and consistent follow-through
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to bring structure to evolving priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with or in support of senior leadership
  • Experience in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or media or education organization
  • Familiarity with Wrike or similar project management tools
  • Experience supporting international or multi-jurisdictional operations
  • Comfort with the Google suite of products (Docs, Drive, etc.) along with Slack
  • Proficient in the routine, daily use of AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT) to perform work tasks and the ability to leverage these tools to improve overall workflow efficiency
  • Overall alignment with the OpenDor Media mission

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the COO on strategic planning processes, helping translate organizational goals into clear plans with defined owners and timelines
  • Prepare and contribute to materials for board meetings, leadership offsites, and key planning sessions
  • Track organizational priorities, monitor progress against goals, and surface issues that require leadership attention
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and organizational initiatives
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and coordination for the COO across internal and external meetings and commitments
  • Track and drive follow-through on action items from leadership meetings and cross-team initiatives
  • Coordinate across departments and division leads to keep shared work aligned, surface blockers early, and ensure the right conversations are happening
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact across teams on behalf of the COO when needed
  • Support organizational clarity around priorities, ownership, and decision-making as the organization evolves
  • Help coordinate communications across a geographically dispersed team in the US, Israel, UK, and South Africa
  • Identify, document, communicate, and help address gaps in operational workflows, tools, and internal documentation
  • Support improvements to how teams use existing platforms and systems across the organization
  • Assist with compliance tracking and multi-jurisdictional (global) operational requirements in coordination with relevant leads and vendors
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset to organizational operations and flag opportunities to the COO
