About The Position

The Director of Field Operations is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing all field activities nationwide. This role ensures that operational strategies are effectively implemented to meet business objectives, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement. The Director will lead a diverse team of field managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence. They will collaborate closely with other departments such as logistics, customer service, and finance to align field operations with overall company goals. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in scaling operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in field operations or a similar leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and leading large teams.
  • Strong knowledge of operational best practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Janitorial industry sector.
  • Familiarity with advanced operational software and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational change and process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform physical tasks ( Strip and Wax, Carpet Extraction ).
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Competent in janitorial processes/procedures and ensure environmental procedures are in accordance with Local, State, Federal and company requirements.
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, organize and complete work.
  • Valid drivers’ license and ability to travel to multiple locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive field operations strategies that align with organizational goals and market demands.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage regional field managers and their teams to ensure consistent performance and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards across all field locations.
  • Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, understand each client's needs, and coordinate extra services as required.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and operational expenses to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction through effective field service management and problem resolution.
  • Oversee the implementation of technology and tools that support field operations and data-driven decision-making.
  • Be a leader to staff and create a positive, safe work environment.
  • Recruit staff from different areas.
  • Assure services are being performed within allocated budget, which will include review of staff hours, recommend/develop budgets, and inventory control.
  • Manage end-to-end new site implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and on-budget launches. Including but not limited to visitation and staffing.
  • Participate in cross-functional operations projects by contributing to planning, execution, and follow-through.
  • Periodic visits to the NJ corporate office are required, once per month unless otherwise noted.
