About The Position

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, improving organizational processes, and ensuring operational efficiency across all departments. This role provides strategic leadership and tactical direction to meet business goals related to safety, quality, culture, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Operations Manager drives continuous improvement, leads cross-functional initiatives, and supports long-term operational planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive operations management experience, including leadership of teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of operational best practices, production management, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies (certification is a plus).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, improve KPIs, and drive measurable operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to support organizational goals and improve overall performance.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Facilitate problem-solving and experimentation.
  • Protect the culture to drive employee and customer experience.
  • Oversee production planning, workflow optimization, resource allocation, and process improvements.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, quality, HR, finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for operational initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures to maintain operational profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor operational supervisors, team leaders, and staff to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Oversee training, development, and performance management processes.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and strategic planning efforts.
  • Monitor customer requirements and ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
