About The Position

The Sr. Operations Manager is responsible for leading and integrating Production and Maintenance activities for an assigned process area within the manufacturing operation to achieve safety, quality, production, and cost targets in alignment with site performance metrics. This role provides leadership across all shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and ensures stable and efficient operations within the assigned process. The Sr. Operations Manager drives a culture of continuous improvement by aligning production execution with equipment reliability and maintenance activities. This position oversees both production and maintenance personnel supporting the assigned process area and ensures effective coordination of resources to meet operational objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong manufacturing background with experience in production, maintenance, safety, quality, and engineering in a high-volume environment. Strong leadership and business acumen are required to effectively interface with leadership and to develop, lead, and motivate integrated operations teams. This position reports directly to the Group Leader for the assigned manufacturing area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field
  • 10 years of experience in operations management in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees from all cross-functional
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with senior and executive leadership
  • Knowledge of other process systems, quality systems, throughput, standardization, and product/process launch
  • Ability to effectively lead a diverse workforce, teach, coach and mentor employees to go above and beyond required operational and business objectives
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime, weekends, or holidays as required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and integrate Production and Maintenance teams for the assigned process area to achieve safety, quality, production, cost, and equipment reliability objectives
  • Ensure consistent operational performance across all shifts within the assigned area
  • Support all aspects of operations including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee morale
  • Oversee hourly and salaried personnel supporting the assigned process area
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and audit requirements
  • Coordinate production plans with maintenance and engineering activities for the assigned process
  • Drive continuous improvement and waste elimination initiatives within the process area
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and structured problem-solving
  • Build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, and talent development
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned
