About The Position

The full-time Senior Operations Director serves as a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for aligning operational systems, administrative functions, and business processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and organizational performance. The Senior Operations Director works to establish highly effective operational procedures, monitors and develops their department budget, and uses strategic leadership to accomplish organizational goals. This role provides high-level operational leadership by designing effective operational procedures, evaluating and improving workflows, strengthening communication across departments, and supporting leaders in implementing effective operational practices. The Senior Operations Director is responsible for monitoring metrics, ensuring process fidelity, and advancing organization-wide operational goals that promote quality, compliance, and strategic alignment. This role has matrixed functions, working in alignment with housing, program, and clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business, human service, nonprofit management, or related field, required. Masters preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience operations management, required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience working in a clinic setting, in housing or property management, or non-profit, required
  • Understanding of clinical and/or Medicaid clinic operational standards, preferred
  • State ORCHARDS BCU background check clearance, required
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle with active registration and liability insurance and acceptable driving record in accordance with Bridge’s to Change’s auto liability policy requirements, required
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Outlook, PPT, Excel, communication tools and ability to produce high quality information to various stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate with community partners to identify operational gaps and develop partnerships that strengthen systems and improve outcomes
  • Ability to remain calm, regulated, and exercise sound judgment in high-stress or crisis situations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail and participant safety
  • Ability to maintain high professional standards in interactions with participants, staff, and community partners
  • Demonstrated success working effectively in diverse, collaborative team environments, with strong skills in promoting inclusion and cultural responsiveness

Responsibilities

  • Exercise independent operational judgment in overseeing and improving administrative and business systems across the organization, providing guidance to departmental leaders on complex operational issues, process gaps, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Strategically lead the operational systems of the organization in accordance with the BTC strategic plan, annual organizational goals, and adjusting strategy to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and oversee departmental budget planning and resource allocation to ensure financial accountability, operational efficiency, and responsible stewardship of organizational funds.
  • In collaboration with other Senior Directors, effectively lead the Program, Clinical, and Operational initiatives of the organization, providing regular progress updates to executive leadership.
  • Lead organizational readiness assessments for clinic, housing, and service expansion, including but not limited to proactively addressing operational gaps and deficiencies.
  • Establish organization-wide operational priorities, ensure consistency and quality in workflows and practices, and serve as a key operational authority for escalated or high-impact matters, elevating issues to executive leadership when broader organizational or strategic decisions are required.
  • Lead organization-wide business and administrative process improvements that strengthen operational integration and advance BTC’s strategic goals.
  • Direct operations team, ensuring efficient workflows, clear workplans, and effective implementation of process improvements.
  • Design and implement high-quality operational processes that improve data tracking, system efficiency, and organizational coordination across departments.
  • Develop and maintain reporting, transparency, and accountability systems for operational initiatives, ensuring effective matrixed communication.
  • Lead implementation of operational goals, monitor performance metrics, evaluate outcomes, and provide regular operational reports to leadership.
  • Oversee integration and performance of key organizational systems including IT, housing data systems, participant trend data, and community partner tools to support accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and support BTC workgroups, ensuring action planning, follow-through, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners to support integrated workplans, process improvements, and outcome achievement.
  • Represent BTC in external meetings and functions, addressing operational issues and providing a professional leadership presence.
  • Partner with division directors and managers to support operational implementation of programs and initiatives, evaluating and improving administrative processes.
  • Participate in organizational safety efforts by supporting the Safety Committee and collaborating on safety and compliance initiatives.
  • Promote cohesive cross-departmental communication and collaboration, reinforcing a culture of integration, shared accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate organizational, compliance, operational, and personnel-related risks to support safe, effective, and sustainable operations.
  • Lead, develop, and support departmental staff through coaching, performance management, professional development, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism in interactions with stakeholders, community partners, funders, and external agencies, strengthening strategic relationships and advancing organizational interests.
  • Champion organizational change by providing clear, transparent communication, leading teams through transitions, and ensuring cross-department collaboration and alignment in the implementation of new processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, confidentiality regulations, and all applicable federal and state behavioral health standards.
