Evaluates and treats patients with disabilities, injuries and/ or disease in accordance with the written and signed prescription and/or referral of a physician or other State authorized practitioner. Provides guidance to the clinical Rehabilitation staff. Job Responsibility Administers direct patient care in accordance with the written and signed prescription of the referring physician or other state authorized practitioner. Guides clinical rehabilitation staff. Orientates Therapists to designed rotation, providing instruction regarding treatment protocols and use of equipment. Makes periodic inspections of equipment, identifies equipment malfunctions and initiates repairs by contacting appropriate service departments. Submits required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the department. Assists with program development and quality improvement. Participates in quality improvement chart reviews and activities. Serves as a liaison between the department and team members. Provides treatment to more complex assignments.
