About The Position

Opensity Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Fortinet, Azure networking, and enterprise-scale infrastructure. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing complex, global network environments that prioritize performance, scalability, and security.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in modern network technologies and a proven ability to lead technical initiatives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams across architecture, security, and engineering to deliver robust, scalable solutions and drive continuous optimization of network architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in a large multi-platform environment or equivalent technical experience.
• Azure Networking Services: In-depth knowledge of VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, DNS, and Private Link.
• Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
• Proven experience with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN.
• Proven experience with Fortinet Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
• Proven experience with Fortinet Cloud Access Security broker (CASB).
• Knowledge of networking protocols, security, and infrastructure.
• Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist Network Security.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE).
• Strong analytical trouble shooting skills with extensive work experience; experience in providing situational analysis for networking elecommunications.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent customer orientation, support, and interfacing experience with the ability to persuade, convince, or influence others to take appropriate action.
• Ability to lead and impact others at all levels of the organization.
• Proven success in dealing with concurrent problems and issues effectively in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Advanced understanding of business strategy as it relates to network environments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud networking solutions.
• Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.
• Scripting or automation skills for network-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of robust and scalable network infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
• Configure and manage firewalls using Fortinet technologies to ensure the highest level of security.
• Design and implement complex routing and switching solutions using Cisco switches.
• Design, implement and manage a global Meraki wireless environment.
• Acts as the liaison and subject matter expert between the architecture, security, and engineering teams to integrate technical solutions to existing multifaceted, complex, customer-facing production environments.
• Responsible for change management procedures and detailed ownership, planning, and execution of highly complex, secure, high risk, multifaceted changes.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams and individuals as appropriate.
• Acts as one of the top-level escalation points for all networks and related technical designs.
• Respond, analyze, and follow up on outstanding network issues at all levels; ensure timely problem resolution.
• Strive to improve communications and teamwork across organizations.
• Other key functions include carrier management, incident management, problem management, capacity management, service acceptance, event management, performance management, and standards compliance, with a focus on service restoration, sustainability, and proactive service improvement.
• Additional duties as assigned.
