About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer as a five month staff augmentation, 40 hours per week, with the intent to renew in July for an additional 12 months. After-hours support in the rare case of an emergency and for scheduled maintenance windows is also required. Primary responsibilities would be day to day support of Cisco switches and routers and Palo Alto firewall which includes but is not limited to the following: Updating the firewall to block and allow web sites per request. Resolving network connectivity issues. Scheduling and supporting switch and firewall device updates. Review alerts on switches and firewall devices, identifying issues, and taking appropriate actions. Active monitoring of traffic logs for security risk indicators. Identifying trends, exceptions, and security vulnerabilities and concerns. Make configuration changes as needed. Training and mentoring other IT staff members. We are working on a number of projects where previous experience would be beneficial: Deployment of Avaya Cloud Office Implementation of .1x for network authentication Upgrade or replacement of Palo Alto firewalls Network audit and strategic planning Candidates will be required to work on site, 2651 Burnet Ave Cincinnati 45219, three days a week with the ability to work remotely two days a week.
