Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a high‑impact program supporting a mission‑critical enterprise network. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related field
- 12–15 years of relevant experience
- Top Secret clearance (minimum)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Demonstrated expertise in network infrastructure engineering
- Hands‑on experience with Juniper SSR architecture and configuration
- Strong background in SD‑WAN technologies and deployments
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS/IOS‑XE
- Solid understanding of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- Experience with network virtualization and software‑defined networking
- Familiarity with network automation tools
- Understanding of QoS , WAN optimization, and modern network architecture principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios)
- Familiarity with VoIP and unified communications
- Understanding of containerization and microservices architectures
Responsibilities
- Deploying advanced network system upgrades across global field sites
- Serving as the primary technical focal point for installations and site coordination
- Delivering hands‑on troubleshooting and rapid issue resolution
- Performing and supporting network maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle upgrades
- Producing clear, actionable documentation and reporting
- Contributing to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
- Ensuring compliance, standards alignment, and best‑practice implementation
