About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to support the Hanscom Collaboration and Innovation Center (HCIC) (AFLCMC/HNIA) located at Hanscom AFB, MA. This role involves functioning as a technical network engineer, providing continuous maintenance, architecting, and supporting new networking technologies for data, voice, and video applications. The engineer will act as a senior technical expert in systems development for extremely complex computer network or electronic systems, including Command and Control (C2), airborne networking, and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensor systems for Air Force acquisition programs. The position requires providing overall technical direction and guidance for performing requirements definition, development, modification, integration, validation, testing, redesign, and special investigations associated with development and sustainment support activities for all assigned systems. This includes performance analyses, modeling and simulation, hardware/software investigations, and reliability or maintainability studies. The engineer will also determine logical solutions to major problems, initiate changes to system architecture and/or hardware and software designs, and address compatibility and interoperability issues. Additionally, the role involves reviewing systems documentation and developing comprehensive technical documentation for engineering forecasts, status reporting, and detailed project planning.
