About The Position
Support tasks involving engineering development, integration, interface design analysis, installation, fielding, operation, maintenance, and testing of hardware and software. Perform system-level design and configuration of network systems, including hardware, operating system, and platform specifications to meet project requirements while ensuring interoperability with existing sponsor networks. Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies. Troubleshoot unique or complex problems and deliver scalable solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years as a Network Engineer
- 5+ years with Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Expertise in WAN architecture using Cisco ISR/ASR routers
- VMware/vSphere administration experience
- Layer 3 networking, tunneling, and Layer 2 VLAN maintenance
- Knowledge of BGP and OSPF protocols
- Familiarity with RHEL OS or Linux distributions
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Expert in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
- Maintains an up-to-date technical and practical knowledge and understanding of system testing and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of networking hardware, software, standards, best practices, and industry trends.
- Excellent technical knowledge of network, security and storage infrastructure.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting National Cyber missions or the Intelligence Community
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II certification
