About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team! What You'll Be Doing: Monitors and measures activity and performance of a commercial telecom/IP network. Collects, interprets, and reports network data and individual customer performance data to provide statistics for billing. Develops applications and programs in C, C++, and JAVA, as well as programs/scripts in PERL, AWK, and SED. Technical knowledge includes an in-depth understanding of TCP/IP, SNMP, ATM, and frame relay. Must also be knowledgeable of network management tools such as HPOV, Netcool, and Nerve Center; web development tools including CGI, HTML, and Active Server Pages (ASP); and operating systems such as Solaris and Windows NT. Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative. Works under consultative direction toward predetermining long-range targets. Provides advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 10+ years of related professional experience. An advanced degree may be preferred at this level.
  • DoD IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, Network+ CE, or CCNA Security) – Baseline DoD information assurance qualification.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE – Essential cybersecurity knowledge certification for network operations.
  • Must possess TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly

Nice To Haves

  • CCIE – Expert-level Cisco credential in enterprise infrastructure or security.
  • CCNP – Advanced Cisco networking design, implementation, and troubleshooting certification.
  • CISSP – Management-level security certification for information assurance roles.
  • JNCIE – Juniper expert credential for network design and troubleshooting.
