As a Senior Network Administrator, you will provide enterprise-level leadership for network troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational continuity across a mission‑critical DoD environment. This role sets strategic direction for network diagnostics, resilience, and monitoring across global infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Network Administrator or similar role supporting DoD at the CCMD level.
  • Experience requirements based on education: 8 years with BS/BA or 6 years with MS/MA or 5 years with PhD or 10 years with AS/AA or 12 years without a degree.
  • DoD 8140 alignment for WRC 441, Network Operations Specialist (Advanced).
  • DoD IA baseline certification for ADP‑III/IT‑III and applicable OS/CE certification within six months.
  • An active TS/SCI is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision, policies, and operational standards for enterprise network troubleshooting and performance support.
  • Establish long‑term strategies for diagnostic capabilities, end‑to‑end testing, and proactive network monitoring across mission‑critical environments.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority during complex performance issues and critical outages, influencing future network design and resilience.
  • Direct network troubleshooting activities, resource planning, and process development to ensure continuous operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct deep‑dive network analysis, identify vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate advanced solutions (AI-driven diagnostics, self‑healing capabilities).
  • Provide expert input shaping network policies, technical standards, and resource allocation to support mission continuity.
  • Use a wide range of enterprise and role‑specific tools, including Power Platform, ServiceNow, Jira, network monitoring systems, packet analyzers, diagnostic utilities, and network diagramming tools.
  • Guide and support junior team members, ensuring consistent execution of best practices and technical excellence.
