About The Position

Our Mortgage Loan Processing Officers are enthusiastic about providing exceptional service to our members. This position performs duties relating to the processing of mortgage loans including reviewing files upon receipt. Our Mortgage Loan Processing Officer ensures that all required documentation/disclosures have been or are properly requested pursuant to Pima Federal, investor, State and Federal regulatory requirements. They provide members, loan officers, and realtors with effective communication concerning file status and service. They also ensure that the appropriate credit decision have been made after validating system input into AUS, based on stated limits. This position is responsible for o btaining and reviewing all necessary documentation to process mortgage loans as well as validating the loan officer's data input for accuracy. If borrower has provided documentation upfront, the Senior Mortgage Loan Processing Officer must analyze all credit, income, and deposit information as specified by the AUS system. T his role is also responsible for the order, review, and resolution any appraisal issues with the vendor or with the assistance of the underwriter.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED; Associate's degree or equivalent education from two-year college or technical school preferred.
Three or more years of mortgage processing experience.
Expertise in conventional, government, and construction loan guidelines and required documentation of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Government investors.
Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and must maintain registration with NMLS as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
Intermediate level experience with computers and software applications including Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

Processing of mortgage loans including reviewing files upon receipt.
Ensuring that all required documentation/disclosures have been or are properly requested pursuant to Pima Federal, investor, State and Federal regulatory requirements.
Providing members, loan officers, and realtors with effective communication concerning file status and service.
Ensuring that the appropriate credit decision have been made after validating system input into AUS, based on stated limits.
Obtaining and reviewing all necessary documentation to process mortgage loans as well as validating the loan officer's data input for accuracy.
Analyzing all credit, income, and deposit information as specified by the AUS system.
Order, review, and resolution any appraisal issues with the vendor or with the assistance of the underwriter.
