About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Middle Office Analyst – Insurance Operations to lead the management of credit insurance across commercial lending and asset finance transactions. This role requires strong hands-on experience in a banking middle office environment, with full ownership of insurance processes, close interaction with Front Office teams, and a high level of responsibility for operational risk and controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending or asset finance operations within a commercial bank.
  • Proven, hands-on experience managing insurance on lending transactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Loan IQ; experience with Cash Plus and FBTI is a plus.
  • Solid proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of financial statements and comfort with financial ratio analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary subject matter expert for credit insurance across all relevant lending transactions, from pre-closing review (when applicable) through payment, booking, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Oversee the calculation, validation, and processing of insurance premiums in line with credit agreements and insurance certificates, ensuring timely payment to brokers.
  • Ensure accurate booking, monitoring, and reconciliation of insurance-related transactions in Loan IQ (LIQ), maintaining data quality and consistency.
  • Review complex insurance policies and related legal documentation, interpret insurance requirements, and ensure correct system setup and processing.
  • Perform and validate pre-funding insurance checks, including confirmation of calculations and initial broker deposits.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for insurance-related matters with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and external brokers.
  • Monitor insurance covenants and reporting obligations, proactively identifying and escalating operational risks or discrepancies.
  • Drive process improvements across insurance booking, reconciliation, controls, and reporting, in coordination with internal stakeholders.
