SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Meetings & Events, the Senior Manager, Weddings curates exceptional, highly personalized wedding experiences that reflect the resort’s commitment to luxury service and timeless hospitality. This leadership role serves as the trusted advisor and primary liaison for clients, wedding planners, and vendor partners—ensuring each celebration is orchestrated with grace, precision, and elevated attention to detail. Flexibility, poise, and an unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction are essential, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong command of the primary workplace language.
  • In‑depth understanding of hotel catering operations and current trends in the luxury wedding and events market.
  • Strong guest‑service orientation with polished interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to navigate a fast‑paced environment gracefully, maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Strength in creative problem solving, refined attention to detail, and an elevated, collaborative presence.
  • Capacity to make thoughtful, service‑focused decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Robust financial and negotiation skills, including comfort with budgets, P&L statements, premium menu and beverage selling.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5–10 years of luxury wedding experience required.
  • Ability to move confidently and efficiently through multiple event spaces.
  • Ability to lift 15–40 lbs. and perform extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and other event‑related physical tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with luxury hospitality systems such as Delphi, Social Tables, and Opera.
  • One year of Montage or Pendry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Steward complex, high‑profile wedding programs with a focus on bespoke service and elevated guest experiences. Position may include social and corporate events as needed
  • Apply thoughtful space planning and luxury‑tier upselling strategies that align with guest preferences while enhancing overall event value.
  • Craft and manage refined event budgets, timelines, and logistics with meticulous accuracy.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with elite planners and distinguished vendors; identify and recommend partners who reflect the resort’s standards of excellence.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor the wedding team, ensuring each interaction exemplifies gracious, anticipatory service.
  • Serve as the dedicated point of contact for clients and planners, guiding them seamlessly through each stage of the planning journey.
  • Host elegant site visits and tastings that showcase the resort’s culinary artistry and distinctive wedding venues.
  • Maintain precise financial documentation, including updated estimates of charges, deposit schedules, and monthly revenue forecasts.
  • Produce polished Group Resumes and Banquet Event Orders that ensure flawless cross‑departmental execution.
  • Oversee event‑day operations with a calm, orchestrated presence—verifying setups, supporting vendors, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well cared for.
  • Complete post‑event follow‑up with professionalism, ensuring accurate billing and thoughtful client closure.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of resort offerings and respond promptly and warmly to all client and planner inquiries.
  • Collaborate with fellow leaders, assist with special projects, and participate actively in meetings and training.
  • Resolve guest concerns with elevated service recovery, discretion, and genuine hospitality.
  • Ability to adjust to varying business demands, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistent engagement in required trainings and departmental activities.
  • Serve as an ambassador of Montage’s mission, values, and luxury service philosophy.
