About The Position

WHAT YOU’LL DO - Provides direction and supervision to affected departments and team members during execution of meeting and/or event. Directly serves on site for the group in a proactive manner relative to logistics of group room block, food and beverage, public meeting space/exhibit hall, ancillary and vendor services, affiliates/exhibitors and related billing processes. Recommends and acts upon appropriate resolution of guests’ concerns while maintaining profitability. - Using computer systems (Word, Excel and Sales/M&C department systems) prepares reports, correspondence and analysis relative to group activity. Copies and distributes same. - Participates in internal and external meetings as determined by the Director of Meetings & Events i.e., , menu review, department, citywide pre-cons, operational department pre-shifts etc. Participates in internal and external training and participates in development and measurement of personal and team goals and action plans. Requirements

4 years of hospitality experience, ideally within event planning
4- year college degree, preferred, preferably with hospitality, communications or sales/marketing focus.

Responsibilities

Oversees and assists in the physical movement of hotel or guest equipment or furnishings as necessary to complete a tight turn-around of public function space.
Assists Director of Meetings & Events with reporting, analytics, and any other job-related duties and/or projects assigned by the Director.
Develop and maintain effective relationship and guidance with subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
