Senior Medical Dosimetrist
About The Position
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering a multitude of care options to the communities they serve, including over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices. This provides opportunities for employees to learn and explore various interests or specialize in one area. The Senior Medical Dosimetrist, under the direction of a medical physicist and a radiation oncologist, is responsible for using their knowledge of treatment planning techniques and the physical characteristics of equipment to accurately acquire and interpret patient data. They will generate and coordinate individualized treatment plans, and accurately calculate and document treatment machine settings and parameters as required for the prescribed delivery of radiation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Physical/Life Science or radiation therapy program
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry JRCERT accredited program of at least 12 months
- 5 years of relevant experience Radiation Oncology as a Medical Dosimetrist
- CRT-Medical Dosimetrist - MDCB Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board Upon Hire required
