About The Position
The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for designing a treatment plan and accurately calculating the delivery of radiation treatment based on the Radiation Oncologist’s prescribed course of radiation therapy and according to established practices and standards. This position is located at the new Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion in Sarasota, FL, on Sarasota Memorial Hospital's campus.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited two- (2-) year Medical Dosimetry program with training in the usage of Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse
- A minimum of three (3) years of radiation oncology clinical experience as a dosimetrist with experience utilizing Varian Medical Systems software and equipment, specifically Eclipse
- Board eligible for Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification
Nice To Haves
- Experience in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS and SBRT) high dose rate brachytherapy
- Proficiency in image registration with various image sets to include CT, MRI and PET
