The Screenvision Media Research team delivers strategic insights for the nation’s leading cinema advertising network, supporting ad sales performance and business growth through advanced audience analytics, compelling data storytelling, and innovative research approaches. The team provides a comprehensive view of the media landscape and the company’s competitive positioning within it by synthesizing primary and secondary research. These insights are used to inform both internal and external stakeholders while supporting national, regional, and local sales efforts. Description: The Senior Research Analyst will support sales initiatives by responding to sales and client requests, analyzing data, and generating insights using leading industry research tools. This role requires a strategic, analytical thinker with 3+ years of experience translating media data into actionable insights across both local and national markets. The ideal candidate will collaborate across sales, marketing, data, and planning teams to develop customized solutions that help brands connect with cinema audiences and identify new growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (marketing/communications/business major preferred)
  • 3+ years ad sales and/or media research experience, television or agency experience
  • Excellent analytical and oral communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office (Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Powerpoint)
  • Working knowledge of MRI Simmons and Nielsen products
  • Very strong business writing skills required
  • Commuting distance to either our NYC or Chicago office

Responsibilities

  • Leverage proprietary and syndicated tools to create and present analyses for internal team and external clients that tell Screenvision’s audience story to the marketplace and advertiser clients.
  • Support the Advertising Sales team with research and analytics, including but not limited to audience data and behavioral metrics
  • Collaborate closely with marketing team to track evolving trends in moviegoer behavior. Translate this research into narratives that demonstrate Screenvision’s ability to help brands reach consumers
  • Mine available information about trends in the advertising and media industries, including industry reports and brand spending (Nielsen, Media Radar, eMarketer)
  • Lead the development, execution, and delivery of research requests that support both local and national ad sales teams.
  • Ability to translate complex data into strategic narratives that support sales positioning and client conversations.
  • Deep knowledge of Nielsen suite and MRI Simmons
  • Gather and report on intelligence on competitive landscape, trends, clients
  • Work directly with clients and agencies to develop and manage custom research studies including brand lift, sales lift, foot traffic
  • Coordinate with data and analytics team to track, measure, report and forecast audiences
