About The Position

BL is growing and seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) to lead and oversee mechanical engineering aspects of MEP projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of MEP Engineering experience and will oversee mechanical aspects of MEP projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards while delivering high-quality designs. This role involves leading engineering efforts, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior engineers. Requirements

• 8+ years of MEP engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
• Strong technical aptitude and project management skills
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of federal and state codes governing MEP design

Nice To Haves

• PE license (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Systems: Develop flow diagrams
• Perform heat load and static pressure calculations
• Size equipment and ductwork
• Electrical Systems: Design basic one-line risers
• Specify fire alarm devices
• Develop lighting and control plans
• Determine power and feeder requirements
• Plumbing Systems: Select appropriate fixtures
• Design pipe sizing and routing (sanitary, storm, gas, and domestic)
• Ensure proper venting and service sizing
• Fire Protection: Design risers and sprinkler head locations
