About The Position

NDI Engineering Company is looking for a mechanical engineer to join our Virginia Beach, VA team who independently researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application and has extensive experience in creating technical drawings and documentation packages. NDI Engineering Company is a privately-held small business consulting firm. NDI provides engineering and technical services to Government clients chartered with responsibility for the defense of our country. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Ten (10) years full-time professional experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.
  • Security Clearance: Possess or ability to obtain Secret Security clearance.
  • Software/Hardware, Certifications/Licenses: CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred) with extensive knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) 3D modeling, Bills of Material and cost/quality decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in Thermal Analysis of components and performance of Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) per Military Standard procedures.
  • Experience in creating technical drawings and documentation packages.
  • Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Creating technical drawings and documentation packages.
