Job Summary TYLin’s Rail + Transit team is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer who is passionate about mechanical design, not construction management. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience for rail, transit, or complex building systems.
  • Expertise in HVAC and tunnel ventilation design .
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality design deliverables .
  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and engineering standards.
  • Strong technical judgment, creativity, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design for stations, tunnels, and transit facilities - including HVAC, tunnel ventilation, and supporting systems.
  • Develop contract drawings, specifications, and technical reports for design packages.
  • Perform engineering calculations and system modeling to drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
  • Ensure designs meet NFPA, ASHRAE, and local code requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural, and electrical engineers to deliver fully integrated designs.
  • Support design reviews, QA/QC, and technical guidance throughout project delivery.
