KBR is looking for a Chemical and Biofuels Mechanical Engineer to lead a large international chemical project. ·You must be a licensed Professional Engineer with proven track record of highly complex mechanical design efforts from conceptual design through construction support for world class Chemical and Biofuel clients. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of a team leading new technology deployment on a wide range of sustainability initiatives for our key clients. In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment normally found in the chemical industries and biofuels industries along with industry codes is critical to provide leadership on these challenging projects. You will be expected to function primarily as a Lead Mechanical Engineer. You are expected to function in a hybrid work environment and must have the ability to travel to client sites to attend walk-downs, kick-off meetings and design reviews. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Early project planning and coordination while handling two to three small to mid-cap sized projects with ability to quickly provide engineering work hour estimates and risk memos. Develop and manage the preparation, review and checking of mechanical specification packages in accordance with Client requirements and industry best practices. Manage and successfully influence the entire procurement life cycle while working closely with all disciplines. Ability to effectively manage building services groups such as Fire Protection, HVAC and plumbing as a work group lead. Managing development of complex multi-discipline Construction packages including diagrams, drawings, equipment schedules, details, and Scopes of Work. Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors in a professional manner. Track Project Scope and Schedule and notify project manager of deviation from original design, budget, or schedule.
