About The Position
The Material Planner is responsible for managing program material requirements, anticipating potential production or supply issues, and ensuring alignment with operational goals. This role serves as a key contributor to program planning and meeting customer requirements.
Requirements
- Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to speak up as appropriate and escalate issues as required
- Self-disciplined, while maintaining the highest standard of compliance and quality
- Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and assist others as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong MS Excel skills with ability to write formulas, extrapolate data, and present data information in a clear, consistent, and concise manner
Responsibilities
- Entering and maintaining data integrity within an ERP system
- Supporting information collection (bills of material, drawings, etc.) for request for quotes and proposals
- Managing program assignments with a goal of keeping supply and demand requirements in alignment
- Collaboratively working with disciplines such as Engineering, Operations, and Quality to monitor process execution cycle times and drive efficiencies
- Understanding and supporting organizational compliance requirements including Government Property and international trade regulations
