This a technician has achieved the highest level of certification within a Ford dealership network. Requirements

  • Extensive experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably at a Ford dealership.
  • Advanced certifications: Required Ford factory certifications. The highest certification is "Senior Master Technician".
  • In-depth knowledge of all vehicle systems, components, and repair procedures.
  • Exceptional diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical, electrical, and technical problems.
  • High level of technical proficiency with specialized diagnostic equipment and tools.
  • Strong leadership abilities to serve as a mentor and resource for other technicians.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to explain technical details clearly and build trust.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical dexterity and the ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics on all vehicle systems, including electrical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, and climate control, using sophisticated tools and equipment.
  • Conduct complex repairs and intricate maintenance services with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, following all manufacturer warranty and factory standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for other technicians, providing guidance on difficult repairs and diagnostic procedures.
  • Stay current on all manufacturer technical bulletins and new technologies through continuous factory-sponsored training and certification programs.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain diagnostic findings, repair options, and recommendations.
  • Perform quality inspections and thorough test drives to ensure all issues are resolved to the highest standard.
  • Document all work performed on repair orders clearly and accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Manage customer satisfaction by building trust and providing exceptional service.
